Counselling is about you learning to deal with your difficulties in the way that best suits you, with me walking beside you to support your every decision and celebrate each step towards the happy future you want.

What is counselling?

A counsellor will help you find the right pathway for you.  A counsellor will listen to you as you take this journey and will support you through making the decisions that will allow you to change your life.

I will not tell you what to do – only you can make the decisions about what is right for you.  I will help you to explore the many different ways so you can change your path and work towards a happier, more fulfilling future.

There are many different ways of providing help.  Initially you talk about the things that are upsetting you.  This is not easy; it can be very painful facing up to the issues that have gradually eroded your confidence or self-esteem, often over many years. Together, we then explore ways to improve your situation and modify patterns of behaviour that may be preventing you finding that elusive happiness.
